Hope to start on this formidable project once I finish The Master and Margarita. It took me a decade to read the entire book because I was always inspired while reading to stop and write my own fiction. The Louise Maude translation of "War & Peace" is indeed the greatest experience reading I have ever had. For that reason, if I encounter a copy of a book translated from Russian into English by Mrs. Louise Maude, on the other hand, is a wonderful translator. She was sloppy and lazy and worked too quickly.
